Sunil Sharma Holds Extensive Public Outreach in Jammu, Assures Action on People’s Demands

Jammu, September 10, 2026: Leader of Opposition in the J&K Legislative Assembly Sunil Sharma led an extensive public outreach programme at the Jammu Convention Centre, accompanied by BJP MLAs Sham Lal Sharma, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, Yudhvir Sethi, Arvind Gupta, Dr. Rajeev Bhagat, Mohan Lal Bhagat and Surinder Bhagat.
A large number of delegations representing different sections of society participated in the programme and apprised the Leader of Opposition and BJP legislators of their grievances, pending demands and issues affecting their livelihoods and welfare. The delegations included representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, Traders Federation, NHM employees, Daily Wagers, OBC Samaj, transporters, Industries Federation, Junior Pharmacists, farmers, sports associations, PoJK refugees, Citizen Cooperative Bank, Kashmiri Pandits, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, Mid-Day Meal workers, hoteliers and tourism stakeholders, among others.
Sunil Sharma and the BJP MLAs gave a patient hearing to the delegations and discussed the issues raised by them. Sharma also directed the concerned departments to initiate remedial measures wherever required and assured the representatives that genuine public concerns would be raised strongly during the upcoming Assembly Session.
Sharma said the people of Jammu & Kashmir had voted with expectations of development, employment, better governance and positive change. He alleged that the NC government had failed to address several pressing public issues and said the BJP would continue to act as a strong voice for the people.
He further stated that BJP MLAs would continue their public outreach and remain committed to raising issues concerning employees, traders, farmers, youth, refugees, transporters and other sections. Sharma assured that the party would continue to fight for the legitimate rights, dignity, development and welfare of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
