Minister Calls for Compilation of Cabinet Meeting Records to Highlight Two Years of Government’s Achievements; Says New Era of Balanced Development Will Begin
JAMMU, NOVEMBER 2 : Jammu and Kashmir Minister Javed Rana on Monday emphasised the government’s commitment to ensuring balanced and equitable development across all regions and sub-regions of the Union Territory, asserting that Jammu, Kashmir and every area must progress together.
Speaking on the occasion of the resumption of Darbar Move operations in Jammu, Rana said the government had undertaken substantial work over the past two years and called upon officials to compile a comprehensive record of all Cabinet meetings to highlight the decisions and achievements of the Omar Abdullah-led government.
Addressing government employees and officials, the Minister said that a detailed chart of Cabinet meetings should be prepared so that people and administrative staff could have a clear understanding of the work undertaken by the government during the past two years.
“The Jammu and Kashmir government has done a lot of work, and I would request our staff members, who are also listening, to put up a complete chart of all the Cabinet meetings so that everyone knows what work the Jammu and Kashmir government has done in these two years,” Rana said.
He remarked that even members of the government had sometimes lost track of the extensive work carried out during this period, underlining the importance of properly documenting Cabinet decisions and initiatives.
Rana further stated that the government’s focus in the coming period would be on taking every region and sub-region along, ensuring that development benefits reach all parts of Jammu and Kashmir without discrimination.
“Equal development, taking all regions and sub-regions together, is on our agenda. Inshallah, a new era will begin,” he said.
The Minister’s remarks come as the Jammu and Kashmir administration resumes its winter operations in Jammu under the traditional Darbar Move arrangement, shifting the functioning of government offices to the winter capital.
He reiterated that inclusive development, regional balance and equitable distribution of opportunities would remain central to the government’s agenda in the coming days.
